About Hornbaek

Hornbæk is a seaside resort town on the north coast of the Danish island of Sjælland, facing the Øresund which separates Denmark from Sweden. It is mainly known for its fashionable holiday homes and broad sandy beaches. As of 2015, Hornbæk proper has a population of 3,513. Hornbæk was originally a small fishing village around a natural harbour. Hornbæk has a reputation for art and artists. There are woods that surround the town and these go all the way down to the beaches. The climate in Hornbæk produces cold to cool winters and warm summers, there is rainfall all year round but with more between July and December than January and June, with the least amount of rain falling in March.
