TUESDAY

GREATER DUBAI & DESERT EXPERIENCE
 
Dubai is a city that provides a new setting at every turn, richly mixing the old and the new. Visit Al Seef, an area rich in historical sites rooted in Dubai’s culture and heritage, adjacent to the Al Fahidi historical neighborhood.
 
Continue the journey by Abra, a traditional boat, crossing Dubai Creek to visit the spice market and gold souk. Learn about Emirati culture, customs, and religion at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, located in the Al Bastakiya trading village. Drive to the desert in a 4x4 Jeep over the sand dunes for
unique activties at our Bedouin camp experience with water pipes, camel riding, music and folk dancers.
 
At sunset, watch an amazing falcon show. Watch these hunting birds soar to the skies and then dive for their prey.
 
Guests can view various species up close and handle these magnificent birds under the careful supervision of a specialist. BBQ Dinner in the Desert
 
DAY 3: WEDNESDAY
ABU DHABI
 
As the world's richest city, Abu Dhabi breaks all the records. We embark on an exciting journey through Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the U.A.E and the hub for some of the most spectacular and iconic landmark attractions that the region has to offer
 
We start our day with a panoramic Abu Dhabi City tour and a picture stop at the world-famous Sheikh Zayed Mosque With minarets over 100 meters tall, 82 domes of white marble, it is awe-inspiring to say the least.
 
Option 1: Ferrari World is the world's largest indoor theme park. Among its many exhilarating rides it boasts the Formula Rossa, which at 150mph is the world's fastest roller coaster. Louvre Museum
 
Option 2: The Louvre Abu Dhabi is an art and civilization museum located on the Saadiyat Island Cultural District with 8,000 sq/m of galleries, making it the largest art museum in the Arabian Peninsula. We complete the day as we head to the Corniche.
 
Recharge your batteries with a relaxing stroll or bike ride along this stunningly beautiful promenade.

DAY 3: WEDNESDAY
RAS AL KHAIMAH
 
Visit the Suwaidi Pearl Farm on a floating pontoon structure to discover the historical journey of the region’s pearling industry and learn how the Arabian Pearl became one of the world’s most sought-after gems. We continue with our lunch on board the comfortable pontoon as we sail around the Arabian Gulf coastline. Time permitting, we visit the Ras al Khaimah National Museum which chronicles history of the Emirates. On our departure we take a drive past the Mohammad Bin Salem Mosque, dating back to the second half of the 18th century.

DAY 4: THURSDAY
MODERN DUBAI
 
Early morning hot-air balloon ride, soaring high above the mountains at sunrise. Enjoy a magic carpet ride over an endless ocean of sand dunes, emerald green oases, gazelles and wandering camels. Fly along with Peregrine falcons, launched from the balloon.
 
Start your tour of futuristic Dubai at the marina, carved along a two-mile stretch of Arabian Gulf shoreline, with a variety of luxury condominium towers and villas perched atop a dynamic waterfront retail promenade.
 
Continue to the Palm Jumeriah, the world-famous manmade islands shaped like a palm, which form an 11-km.- long breakwater. Proceed to downtown Dubai, the new part of the city. Visit the Burj Khalifa Tower, the tallest building in the world, for panoramic vistas of the city from the 124th floor.
 
Free time shopping at the Souk Al Bahar and DubaiMall. Watch the 150M high Dubai Water Fountain, a choreographed fountain system located on the manmade Burj Khalifa Lake. Dinner and program at the hotel.
 
DAY 5: FRIDAY 
MORE OF SPECTACULAR DUBAI
 
Visit the Dubai Miracle Garden, with 150 million flowers arranged in colorful arches and patterns. Seeing the garden in full bloom with its 150 million flowers arranged in colourful arches and patterns, and the myriad shapes they form, is truly magnificent. Dubai Miracle Garden’s breath-taking landscaping has earned two Guinness World Records for the largest vertical garden and world’s largest floral sculpture forming the shape of an Airbus A380.
 
Visit the Dubai Frame, an iconic structure that ‘frames’ impressive views of old and new Dubai, while serving as a metaphorical bridge connecting the emirate’s rich past with its magnificent present. Offering spectacular panoramic views across the city, Dubai Frame celebrates the story of Dubai from its early establishment to its ambitious plans for future development.
 
Shop at the Mall of the Emirates, the largest mall in the world, with 630 retail outlets and the acclaimed Ski Dubai with its 400-metre world's first indoor ski run.

DAY 6: SHABBAT
REST AND RELAX SHABBAT EXPERIENCE
 
Enjoy Shabbat in a beautiful and traditional ambiance, with tefilla and singing, gourmet meals, fascinating lectures and shiurim.

HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES FOR TRAVELLING IN CORONA TIMES

If you are a tourist arriving in Dubai, you will be required to take a COVID-19 PCR test no more than 96 hours prior to departure of your inbound flight to Dubai. You must present a printed copy of the negative result in English. At random you may be required to take a second COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival in Dubai and may need to quarantine in your hotel room until you receive your results within 6-8 hours.

You also will need to download COVID19-DXB Smart App and register with Dubai Health Authority.
All travelers must comply with the precautionary COVID-19 measures in place in UAE including wearing a mask, observing social distancing and sanitizing your hands regularly.

It remains the responsibility of all passengers to check the most updated information prior to travel.

For the Chanukah 5781 tour 14-21 December 2020, Kosher Travelers is proud to have secured the participation of Mr. David M. Weinberg as scholar-in-residence.

He will enrich our tour with commentary throughout the program, and through several formal presentations, on the diplomatic, defense and economic issues that draw the UAE and Israel together; on the common heritage of Moslems and Jews that that underlies the historic “Abraham Accords”: and the Torah of sages who lived and thrived in the Arabian Gulf. He also will offer Divrei Halacha and Parshanut as we gather for tefilla, every day.
 
Mr. Weinberg is an inspirational educator who combines strategic and political insight with learned Jewish perspectives. He is vice president of the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security (JISS), and a distinguished diplomatic and defense columnist for The Jerusalem Post and Israel Hayom newspapers.
 
Since moving to Israel 30 years ago, he has been senior advisor to Deputy Prime Minister Natan Sharansky and coordinator of the Global Forum Against Anti-Semitism in the Prime Minister's Office; and spokesman of the Herzliya Conference on National Security, the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, and Bar-Ilan University.
 
He studied at the Hakotel and Har Etzion yeshivas and is married to Bonnie with six children and five grandchildren.

Geography
 
The United Arab Emirates is an Arabian Peninsula nation.

The country is a federation of seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah.
 
Climate
 
Predominantly arid, with summer with temperatures reaching 45°C in the hot season, from May to September. In the winter (December-April), the climate is pleasant with temperatures ranging from 13°C to 30°C.

Heritage and Culture
 
Emirati culture is based on Arabian culture with Persian influences. Arabian and Persian inspired architecture dominate. Emirati clothing is an important part of UAE history and heritage and is a source of pride. Men wear a white cloak called kandura or dishdash also known as thawb in other GCC countries. The women wear a long flowing black gown known as the abaya.

Public Behavior: UAE’s laws promote modesty and respect. Offensive language, spitting, aggressive behavior, and public displays of affection are frowned upon. The streets are safe and pleasantly free of litter and must be kept that way.
 
Attire: Wear respectful clothing. Swimwear is entirely appropriate only by the pool or on the beach.
 
Travel Insurance: It is imperative that travelers take out sufficient travel insurance, including coverage in case of corona delays, quarantines or hospitalizations.
