This is a Jewish Heritage tour and some of the highlights included are:
Casablanca:
The Mellah Jewish Quarter: Beth-El Synagogue; Neve Shalom Museum.
Rabat:
The Jewish neighbourhood of the Mellah where Jewish families still live. Rabbi Chaim Ben Moses Attar, the famous 18th century scholar and Cabbalist lived here.
Fes:
Rich in medieval Jewish history, it was the home of some of the most influential Talmudic scholars, including Rabbi Isaac Alfasi as well as Maimonides in the years 1160 to 1165. The Jewish Quarter dates back to 1438.
Meknes:
A place of Jewish pilgrimage where the tomb of Rabbi David Benemden, known as the ‘The Patron of Meknes’, is located, A Jewish presence in this imperial city goes back to the Greek and Chritian eras. The old Mellah (Jewish quarter) has eleven synagogues, of which eight are still in use today.
Marrakech:
The Mellah, which captures the original historic vibrancy of Jewish society in Marrakech; The Lazzana Synagogue, the only one open to the public today. We will explore the remnants of Jewish communal life and the history of Jewish culture in Marrakech.
Essaouira:
On Morocco’s Atlantic coast, a historic fort and fishing port. Will will include a visit to the tomb and synagogue of the great Rabbi Pinto and explore the beautiful Medinah. Also we hope that on this day Mr Andre Azoulay will be available to meet the group in Essaouira. Andre Azoulay is the personal advisor to the King of Morocco on Jewish matters. If he is in town and available he will come to meet the group and will take us around to meet with members of the local Jewish community and will also show us the synagogue.

DAY 1 TUESDAY Jan 24th

Arrival at the Marrakech Menara international airport.
Welcome, assistance and transfer to the hotel.
Check-in. Light dinner (snacks and fruits) in a private area and overnight at the GRAND MOGADOR MENARA 5* or similar.
DAY 2 WEDNESDAY Jan 25th

After a typical Moroccan breakfast, we will head to the famous Yves Saint Laurent Museum and Majorelle Gardens.
We will continue to the former Jewish neighbourhood of the Mellah, which really captures the original and historic vibrancy of Jewish society in Marrakesh. Take in the Lazama Synagogue that used to be the main synagogue in Marrakesh and one of the only ones open to the public today. Lunch in a Kosher Restaurant.
Explore the remnants of Jewish communal buildings and soak in the history of the Jewish culture of Marrakesh. Take photographs of the brilliant Bahia Palace, one of the major masterpieces of Moroccan architecture. In the late afternoon, we will visit the busy and Magical Square of “Jemmah El Fna.” and the old Medina, with its narrow passageways and charming little shops where you can buy meaningful souvenirs.

DAY 3 THURSDAY Jan 26th

Early departure (2 hours drive) to the village/Port of Essaouira on Morocco’s Atlantic coast, a historic fort and fishing port.
Take a break and enjoy the traditional culture and character of this quiet medieval seaside town. Before exploring the beautiful Medina we'll visit the tomb and the synagogue of the great Rabbi Pinto and Bayt Dakira accompanied by the king's advisor Mr. Andre Azoulay. The tour picks up again as we move to the village of Chichaoua where you can stretch your legs andlearn about the famous Moroccan Argan oil cooperatives andvisit the Berbers market.
Dinner at the hotel and afterwards we’ll head the Folk Show at the famous “Chez Ali” – soft drink included.
DAY 4 FRIDAY Jan 27th

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin the scenic drive to Ourika Valley, famous for its waterfalls. Hike for stunning views of the valley, or opt to relax in a cafe by the river. Continue to Oukaimeden valley. Pass through traditional Berber villages, and snap a photo along the mile-high (1.8-kilometer-high) mountain road.
Complete your tour among the fruit orchards of Asni valley with a view of Mount Toubkal (Imlil), one of the highest peaks in North Africa at 13,665 feet (4,165 meters). Head back to Marrakech.
Kabalat Shabbat in our private room converted into a Shul at the hotel. Shabbat Dinner and overnight.
DAY 5 SHABBAT Jan 28th

Shabbat tefilah followed by breakfast and lunch at the hotel. Wonderful walk to the Menara Gardens (20 min walking distance).
In the afternoon, we will have time to relax and enjoy the Shabbat spirit. Oneg Shabbat.

Early departure to Rabat. We will start with a visit to the Mausoleum of Mohamed V and Hassan II Tower as well as the Kasbah of Oudayas. Then a visit of the Mellah, where many Jewish families still live, with its narrow streets and lively courtyards. Lunch at the Cercle de l'Alliance Rabat. Road to Fes. Arrival and check in at the hotel MARRIOTT JNAN PALACE 5*.
DAY 7 MONDAY Jan 30th

Full day Fes tour. The golden age of the Jewish community of Fez lasted from the 9th to 11th century. Fes is rich in medieval Jewish history; in fact, it was the home of one of the all times most influential Talmudic scholars, Rabbi Isaac Alfasi, as well as of Maimonides in the years 1160 to 1165. The visit will include the Mellah with its Synagogues. The Jewish community once solely inhabited the Fes Mellah. This was the first Mellah in Morocco and originated in 1438. You will discover different artisan’s guilds such as tanners, goldsmiths, tailors during the walking tour in the Medina and the Kasbah. Free time for shopping, you will enjoy the smells, colours and atmosphere of this wonderful city.
Dinner at the hotel and afterwards we’ll attend the Andalousian music show with soft drink included.
DAY 8 TUESDAY Jan 31th

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Departure to Meknes, place of pilgrimage where the tomb of Rabbi David Benimdan known as “the patron of Meknes” is located. The crowded old Mellah, known by historic Jewish streets names is not to be missed.
There is also the new Mellah which harbors eleven synagogues, eight of which are still in use. Visit Bab El Mansour, the Hedim Square, the royal stables and the mosque of Moulay Ismael.
After lunch, we will head to Casablanca.
Check-in Dinner in a private area and overnight at the BARCELO ANFA CASABLANCA 5* or similar.
DAY 9 WEDNESDAY Feb 1st

We begin the sightseeing tour of the Habbous, the United Nations square, and the Hassan II mosque, the second biggest mosque in the world. We shall continue to the Jewish Museum of Casablanca, where you will be delighted to admire over 700 square meters of religious and artistic renderings of the history of Jewish Morocco.
Lunch at the “Cercle de l’Alliance”. We will then visit the Mellah (Jewish neighborhood) with its temples and synagogues such as Beth-El, Em Habanim and Neve Shalom. Dinner in a private area and overnight.
DAY 10 THURSDAY FEB 2nd

Breakfast at the hotel.
Time to relax and shopping in Casablanca. Lunch at the hotel BARCELO ANFA.
Afterwards we'll head to the Marrakech palm grove known with over 100,000 palm trees. These were planted during the Almoravid dynasty in 13,000 hectares. Enjoy a sunset mint tea surrounded by splendid palm trees.
Departure to the airport. (Meal box included for dinner).
Marrakech's airport 3 hours prior the flight departure.
