from all over the country, have lots of fun and experience the tour of a
lifetime seeing our heritage come alive! Visit Jerusalem, the Dead Sea,
Tzfat, Haifa, Tel Aviv, and surrounding areas.

    ITINERARY

    Thursday, Flight to Tel Aviv

    You will depart from the United States on an overnight transatlantic flight to Israel. Meals and movies on board. (Flights are not included into the price)

    Friday, Arrive Israel (Jerusalem)

    You will arrive at Ben Gurion Airport and continue on to your hotel in Tel Aviv. Welcome to Israel!

    Upon arrival, assistance can be arranged at an additional charge from Ben Gurion Airport to your hotel in Jerusalem. At 5:00PM., we will all meet in the lobby of the hotel to introduce ourselves to each other, and to meet our tour director who will be accompanying you throughout the trip. We will lift our glasses in a toast to 60 Years of Independence to the State of Israel and the start of our exciting trip. After our toast, we will depart for the Old City for the traditional “Kabalat Shabbat” blessing at the Western Wall. After witnessing Shabbat at the Wall, we will return to the hotel to enjoy the traditional Shabbat dinner.

    Saturday, Jerusalem

    Enjoy a full Israeli buffet breakfast at the hotel. Option of joining services at one of the local Synagogues. Lunch on your own.

    Enjoy an afternoon walking tour along the ramparts of the old city. We will enter through the Jaffa Gate, and walk along the wall to the edge of the Temple Mount. From there we will walk through the Jewish Quarter and the Arab Market. Return to your hotel.

    We will all meet in the lobby before leaving for an evening of entertainment, karaoke (yes you too), and dinner.

    Sunday, Jerusalem's Old City

    Enjoy another wonderful full Israeli breakfast at the hotel.

    We will depart the hotel for the old city tour of the City of David. The tour of the City of David begins with a breathtaking observation point overlooking Biblical Jerusalem which will send you 3,800 years back to the times of Abraham. The journey heads underground to some of the newest archaeological excavations of our time. We explore the recently excavated fortresses and passageways just as King David’s conquest of the Jebusite city as described in the 2nd Book of Samuel. The underground tour finally ends at the Gihon Springs, the major water source of Jerusalem for over 1,000 years and where Solomon was anointed as king.

    Enter the walled City and tour the Western Wall Tunnels. Lunch on your own before driving to Yad Vashem. We visit the Children’s Pavilion, followed by a ceremony in the Valley of the Communities, a man-made valley in the form of the European map built in remembrance of over 5000 names of communities. We end our day at Har Herzl to pay tribute to Israel’s fallen heroes.
    Return to the hotel. Dinner on your own (Our tour director can recommend restaurants, or you can spend the evening strolling down Ben Yehuda Street and enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the outdoor cafes).

    Monday, Massada and the Dead Sea area

    Enjoy a full Israeli buffet breakfast at the hotel. We drive down towards to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. We start our day at Massada, and ascend by cable car. Explore the fortress, the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their struggle against the Romans. The Zealots held out for three years against the legions of Flavious Silva and chose to die as free men at their own hands in preference to Roman slavery.

    We drive a short distance to Ein Bokek, where we will enjoy an afternoon of relaxation and floating on the Dead Sea. Lunch at the resort. You will also have the opportunity to cover yourselves with mud. Spa treatments and massages can be arranged at an additional charge.

    After an afternoon of fun and leisure we will drive up towards Jerusalem where we will stop at Abraham’s tent to enjoy a camel ride and biblical style dinner before returning to our hotel.

    Tuesday, Road to the Galilee

    Enjoy your Israeli buffet breakfast at the hotel, and then we will depart Jerusalem making our way towards the North of Israel. We will drive along the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean and walk through the incredible excavations of the largest ongoing archaeological dig in the Middle East with its amphitheater, colonnaded Roman streets, mosaics and Roman Bathhouse. We continue to Sachne where you will have an opportunity to swim in the natural spring waters.
    Lunch on your own. After lunch we will continue to Tiberius, where you will enjoy a boat ride on the Kinneret before checking into your guest house where we will be spending the next two nights. Dinner in a local restaurant

    Wednesday, Golan Heights and Safed

    After you indulge in the wonderful Israeli buffet breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to the mystical city of Safed, one of the four holy cities according to tradition and its Kabalistic studies. Stroll through the narrow, winding alleys, visit the Synagogues and browse through the artists’ workshops and galleries. From here we drive to the Golan. Lunch on your own. Enjoy the magnificent view of the entire Hula Valley; see the Syrian fortifications; visit the Golan Olive Oil Mill before taking an exciting jeep ride tour in the Golan Heights. Learn about the battles that took place here before returning to your hotel to freshen up before dinner.

    Enjoy the local delicacy at St Peter’s Fish for dinner.

    Thursday, Road to Tel Aviv

    Enjoy your buffet Israeli breakfast at the kibbutz. We will now depart the Galilee, making our way towards Tel Aviv, driving to Rosh Hanikra, which borders Israel with Lebanon. We will take the cable car down to visit the incredible grottoes below. We continue to Akko where we will visit the prison where members of the Hagana and Irgun were held captive during Israel’s fight for Independence. We will continue on the road to the ancient city of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great and once the seat of Roman rule. View the excavated Roman Theater which was used for many performances through the times. We will also see the new audio-visual presentation which brings to life the times of the Romans who controlled these shores 2,000 years ago. Afterwards we will drive down the Mediterranean coast to Tel Aviv to check into your hotel. Enjoy dinner with entertainment at one of the local trendy Tel Aviv restaurants.

    Friday, Tel Aviv area

    Enjoy a wonderful full Israeli buffet breakfast at the hotel.
    After breakfast we will visit the Palmach Experience, and through a modern multi-media presentation, we will view the history of the Palmach from 1941 to the War of Independence and the establishment of the State of Israel. From there we will go to Independence Hall, for the story of the founding of the modern State and listen to the audio presentation including David Ben Gurion’s moving Declaration of Independence. Enjoy lunch at one of the many outdoor cafes on Sheinken Street, the Greenwich Village of Tel Aviv. Shop for unique craft items in Nachalat Binyamin’s colorful open-air market. Return to your hotel. You have the opportunity to join one of the local Synagogues for Shabbat services, then we will enjoy a traditional Shabbat dinner at the hotel.

    Shabbat, Tel Aviv

    Enjoy the Israeli buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today you have a free day to enjoy the beaches of Tel Aviv. You will have a late check out of your hotel, after which we will have our last dinner together in a Yeminite restaurant where we will bid our farewells. Transport to the airport for your return flight is available at an additional cost.
