About Pokhara

Pokhara is a metropolitan city in Nepal. It is the country's second largest city in terms of population after the capital Kathmandu. Pokhara is home to many Gurkha soldiers. It is also considered as one of the tourism capital of Nepal. The Seti Gandaki is the main river flowing through the city. The Seti Gandaki (White River) and its tributaries have created several gorges and canyons in and around Pokhara that give intriguingly long sections of terrace features to the city and surrounding areas.

There is a Chabad House in Pokhara that mainly caters to Israelis who are travelling in Nepal after their army service. The Chabad House is opposite the Tropikana Hotel on the lake side.
