About Dubai

Dubai is situated on the Persian Gulf coast of the United Arab Emirates and is roughly at sea level. As of 2018, Dubai is the fourth most-visited city in the world based on the number of international visitors. Dubai has been called the "shopping capital of the Middle East". Dubai alone has more than 70 shopping centres, including the world's largest shopping centre, Dubai Mall. Dubai is also known for the historical souk districts located on either side of its creek.

Jewish History, POI & Kosher Establishments in Dubai

Since the announcement of the Abraham Accords in 2020, Dubai and the UAE have become increasingly popular with kosher travelers. As Jewish tourism to the region has grown, so have the kosher food options available to visitors.

Today, travelers can find a range of kosher services in Dubai, including kosher restaurants, catering, packaged kosher products, Shabbat meals, and kosher food options at select hotels. Some hotels and travel operators also offer kosher meals or special holiday programs for Sukkot, Passover, and other peak travel periods.

Kosher availability in Dubai can change, so it is always best to check directly with the restaurant, caterer, hotel, or local kosher certification agency before making plans. Visitors should confirm current opening hours, supervision, delivery options, and whether advance ordering is required.

The Jewish community and Chabad of the UAE continue to support Jewish travelers with kosher resources, Shabbat hospitality, and information about kosher food in Dubai and across the UAE. Many kosher establishments and services operate under local kosher supervision, with some also carrying additional international certification.

For the most up-to-date options, check our Dubai kosher restaurant listings and contact providers directly before your trip.

Kosher Programs and Vacations in Dubai
Dubai has become a popular kosher vacation destination over the past few years. There are Passover programs organized for Pesach. There were successful Shavuot programs and Sukkot programs in Dubai last year. There are several operators offering vacations and programs with kosher food in Dubai.

However, for the independent kosher travelers we strongly recommend to plan and make arrangements in advance; the demand for kosher food in Dubai is very high and the current services are not able the serve all travelers seeking kosher food, definitely not for spontaneous orders or bookings. Also changing restrictions due to Covid-19 measures are forcing Kosher establishments to plan in advance and make them unavailable for spontaneous kosher bite. So please make sure to reserve your kosher meals or seats in advance!
