About Wayne

Wayne is a township in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States, located less than 10 miles from Midtown Manhattan. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township had a total population of 54,717. Wayne was formed as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 11, 1847, from portions of Manchester Township. The climate produces cold winters and hot summers with moderate to high rainfall all year round. There are plenty of hikes and biking paths around Wayne, it is also only about 40 minutes from New York.
