There are 4 synagogues in the Oakland area, all located in the Piedmont area to the east and north of the city. There are one or two kosher eating establishments in Oakland. Oakland has a Jewish music festival that has been running for the last 30 years, in 2015 the event took place from the end of February to the end of March. There is a local JCC on Rancine street and there are many activities that happen here.
